Dr. Steven C. Kurtin started practice over 30 years ago. His new practice is at Methodist Hospital Doctor's building off the North Dallas Tollway in Addison, Texas. This medical facility puts together other top doctors in the fields of internal medicine, pediatrics and other specialties devoted to your health care.
Dr. Kurtin graduated from Michigan's Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology and work in Psychology. Four years later, he attained the Doctorate of Optometry degree (O.D.) at the prestigious University of Houston Optometry school in Houston, Texas. This Doctor is specially trained through continuing education to rehabilitate vision due to corneal disease, scarring, injury and irregular astigmatism problems. He also helps children with vision changes and dyslexia.
In the 1990's, Dr. Kurtin trademarked the MultiFokus progressive gas permeable contact lens. He did clinical investigation for Bausch & Lomb's BiTech soft lens, one of the world's first soft bifocal contact lens. This helped manufacturers fine tune these designs. Dr. Kurtin's ongoing research in office verifies lab marketing claims. For example, do people actually see better with 'wavefront HD' eyeglass or contact lenses? Dr. Kurtin also attends regular meetings with eye surgeons for the latest on Cataract, Corneal (Lasik) and Retinal surgeries.
The Consumer's Research Council in Washington D.C. counts Dr. Steven C. Kurtin as one of America's Top Optometrists. He is listed in the National Registry of Who's Who in American Health Care. He is a long standing accredited Better Business Bureau A+ rated member.
