Dry Eye Therapy
ThermoLid Therapy - Lubricants - Masks - Plugs - Prescription Eye Drops - VisiDiscs - Scleral Contact Lenses
What causes dry eyes?
The main ingredients above give moisture to our eyes - protein, water and oils. Dry eyes typically result if any of these are out of balance. Lots of things change this moisture balance like aging, computer use, drugs, thyroid issues and menopause.
Auto-immune problems, like Sjogren's, especially affect the eyes.

ThermoLid Therapy is an affordable, effective, in-office treatment to improve the function of the meibomian glands keeping tears from evaporating. Each ThermoLid Therapy sessions are $55 and takes about 20 minutes. The evaluation is additional and mostly covered under medical plans. Chronic dry eyes require ongoing care depending on your needs.
ThermoLid Therapy reduces tear evaporation by gently warming the meibomian glands to enhance the flow of oils (lipid) from your eyelids. Most people find relief after just one session. Special eye drops to further help balance tear chemistry may be needed by prescription only.
