Children's Eye Exams
We are children friendly and really try to make it fun during the visit. We believe better learning is a direct result in how the eyes work in processing the world. Many educators, occupational therapists and others in the community refer to us if 'slow' focus or 'tracking' are suspect in low academic performance.

The doctors here treat all types of vision disorders, including high astigmatism, distance and near focus issues, frequent vision changes in children, Keratoconus, and corneal issues resulting in vision problems after LASIK, RK or PRK.

Trial Soft Lenses

We want you to experience the newest in disposable soft lenses. After your eye exam, we like you to trial astigmatism, bifocal & one-day disposable types--great for allergy sufferers.

Glaucoma Exams, Diagnosis & Treatment
The Kurtin Eye Center was one of the first Dallas practices to install the GDx Nerve Fiber Analyzer. FDA approved in 2002, this tells us years in advance your probability of developing Glaucoma--a blinding eye disease. The doctors here can prescribe the latest anti-glaucoma medications to protect your eyesight, if you are found to have this 'silent' disease.


Retinal & Macula Eye Exams
Computerized testing looks for nerve problems causing field of vision issues. Macula degeneration, brain tumors, and retinal problems often show up using these tests. Ask for a preventative field screen at the time of your exam! Just $22.

Optomap Retinal Exams sees the inside part of your eyes---without dilation. This is useful in diabetic eye exams and people with family history of eye disease. Ask for a preventative Optomap screen at the time of your exam! Just $43.

Treatment for Eye Disease, Allergy & Dry Eyes
Medication, like FreshKote can be prescribed, if you suffer with dry eyes. Eye infections are treated with the most modern, and cost effective, medicines available. Homeopathic remedies, if more appropriate, may also be recommended depending on your needs.

'Pink eye' is a common problem and must be treated early, so not to contaminate other people. If you notice any unusual eye discharge, redness or pain--- we can usually see you the same day! Give us a call!
